Overview
Program Highlights
- Launched in 2017, the Turkish CIP allows foreign investors to obtain full Turkish citizenship (including passport) through qualified investments.
- No residency requirement
- Dual citizenship allowed
- Citizenship is lifetime and inheritable
- Family members (spouse and children under 18) included
Investment Options (as of 2024)
1. Real Estate Investment
- Minimum: $400,000 USD
- Property must be held for at least 3 years
- Can be residential or commercial, off-plan or completed
- Multiple properties allowed if total value meets requirement
2. Capital Investment
- Minimum: $500,000 USD
- Deposit in a Turkish bank, or invest in goverment bonds
- Turkish company shares
- Venture capital or real estate investment fund must be held for 3 years
3. Job Creation
- Create jobs for at least 50 Turkish citizens
- Verified by the Ministry of Labor
4. Bank Deposit
- Deposit $500,000 USD in a Turkish bank
- Must remain in the account for 3 years
Application Process
- Choose an investment type
- Get a certificate of eligibility (depending on investment)
- Apply for a residency permit (no physical stay required)
- Submit citizenship application
- Background check & document review
- Receive Turkish passport in 3–6 months
